TESTIMONIALS FOR BELONGING FACTOR

“Without question, one of my greatest strengths is the ability to build teams around me–both personally and professionally–that work together to achieve a common goal. Whether that’s running a Las Vegas restaurant or throwing a great barbeque with my buddies, it’s all about the culture of the group, where everyone has their part and is an important piece of the puzzle. It’s about having a sense of belonging.  Devin takes this very basic concept and breaks it down so you too can feel it and apply it to your own life, business and family.”

SAMPLE INTERVIEW QUESTIONS

  1. Many managers or business leaders understand the importance of culture in driving performance, but in a recent survey, 41% indicated that they are too busy to build diverse teams with a deep sense of belonging. In your book Belonging Factor, you make the case that this should be their number one priority. Why?

  2. Many large organizations now have Diversity and Inclusion leaders, while the majority of smaller businesses don’t even have an HR department. In your book, Belonging Factor, you explain that any organization can develop a diverse, belonging focused culture, regardless of their size. Explain what you mean by that.

  3. Many companies have tried to implement diversity and inclusion initiatives, but they’re struggling to hit their metrics. What advice would you give a manager who is making an effort but feels like she is spinning her wheels?

  4. Brands are constantly competing for customer attention and ultimately sales. Why should a brand focus on building a sense of belonging with its customers, rather than just loyalty?

  5. In your book, Belonging Factor, you are very candid about something you call your “privilege.” It’s rare that someone shares something that vulnerable. Why did you devote an entire chapter to that topic?

  6. “Be authentic” is a common phrase used in leadership training. How does authenticity give an advantage to great leaders and great brands?
